The Met Costume Institute Gala

This is seriously one of my favorite events for celebrities because apparently the theme is formal with a twist so you'll never know what you'll see at this one.

Let's start with the first row. These are my top earners.
Taylor Swift apparenly received an email from Badgley Mischka stating that they would like to dress the singer for the event...and to think all I look forward to are facebook emails...
Ivanka Trump looks incredible despite the fact that the outfit was inspired by the queen in Labrynth...
Fergie looks hot and ferocious. I don't love the eye make up, but I do love the one shoulder.
Beyonce reminds me of a beauty queen Barbie, but I don't mind.

Above are my favorite couples of the evening.
J.Lo is looking gorgeous after the giving birth to twins less than three montsh ago. The color is fabulous.
Victoria Beckham will always be in a world of her own in my eyes. I particularly love the raised neckline of her dress.
Diane Krueger is suddenly very popular with the fashion forces, but can you blame them? I love the dress and the pink shoes are the perfect touch. Not to mention she's dating Joshua Jackson who is one of my favorite teen drama stars of all time. But even old Pacey is looking sharp at this event. Love it.

Here's where things start to get strange...
Scarlett Johansson did just get engaged to Ryan Reynolds so maybe dreams of wedding dresses inspired her to wear this tulle number. I wish she would have done her hair better and that the dress was in a better color.
Jennifer Connelly is always a 'No' in my book. I think it's the eyebrows.
I usually love Rachel Bilson, but she let me down here. This high-neck dark blue number is just dull and reminds me of a bad comic book character. And the hair?
Katie Holmes' dress is really cute. I love the color on her, but those stupid bright blue shoes just don't work with it. Not to mention they increase her tower over hubby Tom Cruise by like 4 inches.

Eva Longoria Parker looks like she's being swallowed by purple frills.
However, Christina Ricci is probably the biggest disappointment for me. Lately she's been right on with her own style and looking very chic and fabulous, but still slightly different. I have no idea what the girl was thinking with this one.

Oh...and who's this anorexic girl that wandered into the party in a blind state of hunger?
